My cousin and hunting partner has some beautiful land in north-central Arkansas. Back in April we were turkey hunting there and we went to check a trailcam he'd left there previously. When we got to the trailcam it was laying on the ground, with its mount broken. We initially thought it was vandalism, but when we downloaded the pics we found this.
This bear showed up immediately after nightfall on the evening my cousin hung the trailcam, took one whiff, and tore it off the tree. The second pic captures the bear's legs as it walks away.

Very cool pics! We don't have any bears where I hunt, and I don't think I've personally ever seen one in the wild. I would be more likely to check my cameras someday and find pictures of a mountain lion.

Hey, Rob...thanks for stopping by. We caught a pic of a mountain lion a few years ago, too. I need to see if I can dig that one out.

I hope he didn't damage the camera when he ripped it off the tree.

Rick, the bear actually did damage the camera. The mount on the backside of the camera was ripped in half!
